The Sanitation Personnel performs general plant custodial duties.
Responsibilities
Perform general clean up tasks as listed on the daily clean up sheets for each shift
Record completed tasks in KLEAZ and document other issues as necessary
Follow proper handling procedures for cleaning and other chemicals required for the position
Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, steamers, and industrial vacuums
Clean snow from entrances and sidewalks as necessary
Follow proper procedures for cleaning of biohazard spills/accidents
Follow GMP procedures
Maintain and organize janitorial chemical inventory
Maintain equipment and tools required for clean up
Refill the Sterilex mats as required
Utilize tools to review and update safety data sheets as required
Understand and operate with an awareness of cross contamination best practices
Clean scrap area
Operate fork-lift equipment
Identify areas that need attention and either address or report as necessary
Perform some assigned work from Master Sanitation Schedule as requested by supervisor
Perform related duties as required by supervisor
Periodic travel required
Essential Functions
Able to read, analyze, and follow directions
Must be able to properly prioritize work responsibilities within assigned work area
Must be able to speak, listen, and effectively communicate with team members and actively participate in team/department meetings and initiatives
Must be able to operate computers and learn programs associated with sanitation processes and safe chemical handling
Must be able to work following safety protocols for oneself and team members
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Must have full use of arms and legs, be able to stand on a continuous basis, and be able to climb stairs to access all areas of the plant and offices regularly
Must be able to safely lift to 75 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, reach regularly
Possess manual dexterity and use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a regular basis
Walk on a frequent basis for up to 12 hours per day
