​​​​The Wastewater System Operator is responsible for the routine operation of the onsite wastewater treatment system. When not engaged in the operation of the wastewater treatment system, the operator will perform facility and grounds maintenance tasks. ​​​

• ​​Operate wastewater treatment system by performing routine system tests, sample events, and calibrations
• ​Maintain chemical inventory for wastewater treatment
• ​Keep necessary daily documentation and records in both paper and digital formats
• ​Perform minor maintenance and clean up of RDV area
• ​Perform yard maintenance and landscaping duties
• ​Seasonal snow removal as necessary
• ​Assist with minor maintenance and cleaning tasks in support of general facility​

• ​​Able to read, interpret, and follow instructions for detailed, controlled processes including but not limited to chemical use safety procedures
• ​​Able to make and record measurements with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability 
• ​Must be able to speak, listen and openly communicate with team members and actively participate in team meetings  
• ​Must be able to perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision  
• ​Must be able to use manual and power tools such as shovels, mowers, weed whackers, trimmers, etc.
• ​Must be able to demonstrate ability to safely operate powered forklift equipment
• ​This position involves bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting  
• ​Must be able to have full use of arms and legs to climb stairs and ladders to access all areas of the plant and offices  
• ​Push or pull with up to 50 lbs. of force on an occasional basis  
• ​Required to stand on their feet and/or walk 10 hours per day  
• ​Must be able to travel occasionally 

• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Must be able to demonstrate good mechanical aptitude
• Must have demonstrated good work habits and attendance
